Special Seminar: Kevin Cole, Ph.D., Junliang Hao, Ph.D.
Alumnus Kevin Cole, Ph.D., a principal research scientist at Eli Lilly and Company, is working on the development of chemical routes and continuous processing methods to enable fume-hood production of active pharmaceutical ingredients under cGMP. He earned his doctorate in organic chemistry at the University of Minnesota, working with Professor Richard Hsung. He was a post-doctoral researcher in organic chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute. He has been working with Eli Lilly in Indianapolis since 2007.
Alumnus Junliang Hao, Ph.D., a research adviser for RNA therapeutics at Eli Lilly and company, is an experienced medicinal chemist with extensive knowledge in GPCR, prodrug design and cocrystal engineering. He is co-inventor of LY3154207, currently in phase 2 clinical trials for Parkinson's Disease Dementia. Hao earned his doctorate in organic chemistry at the University, working with Professor Craig Forsyth, and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Scripps Research Institute and Harvard University. He has been working for Eli Lilly since 2006.
