Students honored as outstanding TAs and earning 4.0 GPAs

The Department of Chemistry honored its 2017-18 Outstanding Teaching Assistants and scholars, Sept. 6, 2018. Honorable Mention Teaching Assistants are Christopher Chao, Ryan Daley, Katherine Jones, Siri Kanchanakungwankul, Noelle Olson, Riddhish Umesh Pandharkar, Claire Seitzinger, Rachel Swedin, and Rachel Voss. Outstanding Teaching Assistants awards were given to Mark Dresel, Julia Early, Meghan Knudtzon and Cynthia Pyles. Students honored for their 4.0 GPAs were Yukun Cheng, Stephanie Liffland, Celeste Rousseau and Yangzesheng "Andrew" Sun.

Employment/Research Opportunities

  • University of South Carolina: tenure-track assistant professor in computational polymer chemistry. Applications must be received no later than Thursday, Nov. 1.
  • Dartmough College: tenure-track assistant professor in theoretical and computational molecular science. Application review begins, Thursday, Nov. 1.
  • Los Alamos National Laboratory: analytical chemistry post-doctoral associate.
