The Department of Chemistry and the University of Minnesota offer a number of collaborative, multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art facilities and initiatives designed to scientists in their research. Among those is the department's LeClaire-Dow Instrumentation Facility, which houses its mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, and X-ray crystallography laboratories. Additional facilities, centers and initiatives include the Characterization Facility (CharFac), Mass Cytometry Initiative, Minnesota Nano Center, Minnesota Supercomputing Institute, Polymer Synthesis Facility, Polymer Characterization Facility, and University Imaging Centers.
